A tribute to Orlan's Mesu-Rages (1964-1983).

The direct confrontation between a public space with the body, which constitutes the unit of measurement.

To stage in a new light the ideal relationship between body and architecture.

In the course of that evening, Jocelyn Bigot lay down 341 times in the show room. Two witnesses helped with the counting. An official report was drawn up. The artist washed his robe in public, just as Orlan did ; the water was then collected in a 2-litre reliquary, which was sealed with wax and labelled. Then the artist posed as the Statue of Liberty.

The 2-litre reliquary, the official report, photographs, films, videos and the dress are the art works resulting from this performance.
